This was the beginning of a render I did for my evil Irrigator. I’d like to go through and fix the lighting a bit and update the design from my other drawings. A painting like this is pretty simple for me to do and doesn’t take too much time.

These are a couple of my drawings as I was figuring out a few more of the specifics of the design. I added details to the body as well as assigned function to the various parts. The ribbons below are meant to collect water from the air, and I tried to design the back so that this creature might move in a more natural way. Its hands are ‘nebulizers’ which help control the atmosphere in the area. It has eyes with several different cameras so that it can monitor a wide range of land in a very precise amount of detail.

The Watcher is a scout for the Quellen, and I think I need to make this guys a little more evil looking. I have quite a bit more iterating to do as well, and that takes me to the next image:

I’ve begun a 3D model so that I can play with the design a little more easily. Then I’ll do something similar to the Irrigator and paint over the 3D model, add a background, etc.
Next Step
I am quite behind on this project, so I’d really like to just do a lot of work on it the next couple of weeks. I am in quarantine now, so I should have a bit more time to figure this all out. According to my schedule, right now I should be totally done with the Irrigator, just finished up the Watcher, be working on silhouettes for my third creature, and just start the brief and moodboard for my fourth creature. I will update my schedule to accommodate my delays.
